What is it?
Our amazing new book award, especially for Year 3/4 children, aims to inspire curiosity, develop a love of non-fiction and encourage children to discover fascinating topics together, before then voting for their favourite book. Schools receive multiple copies of the books, resources and videos to help support and celebrate the award in school. Open to academies and county schools as traded offer (two options available).
How can schools get involved?
The project will run during the 2026-27 academic year. Participation is funded for maintained Leicester city schools. There are two options for non-maintained Leicester city schools and all Leicestershire schools wishing to participate:
Option 1) £300 per school (includes approximately a minimum of 4 copies of each of the 6 shortlisted books, and resources)
Option 2) £550 per school (includes approximately a minimum of 8 copies of each of the 6 shortlisted books, and resources)
